It's a great tracking comp, it sounds like a much more expensive comp IMHO. Its kinda deep but could easily mount under a board or act as a pedal riser. Has all of the features of the DBX 160VU including the Below/Above threshold indicator light, controls for threshold, continuously variable gain, reduction ratio from 1:1 to limiting and makeup gain/output but a lower noise floor than the original. sixtyfive is a vintage-style, RMS Compressor, inspired by the dbx® 165A, a classic 1970′s compressor found in many studios, but it also adds a couple of new twists. The DBX 160 is an early VCA (voltage-controlled amplifier) type compressor/limiter. Has a remote switch jack, runs at line level. I think i paid $35 for mine.
